1 Leaving always means dying a little.
1 Fortgehen bedeutet auch immer, ein wenig zu sterben.
The film is a journey leading from the borders of a village in the centre of France through its neighbourhood, through the overgrown garden and eventually inside the house of Norman Potter, a controversial Product Designer from the UK, who bought it in the later part of his life and lived there for an extended period. The film mainly concerns the history of living in small houses, establishing the separation of outside and inside, and moving away from home. The text read in three languages spans from Norman Potter's personal diaries and interviews of his daughter over the theory of small houses and "Ausland" to the poem whose title was borrowed for this video work.
